Forgive and forget,
The living proof --you and me.
Toss out the regret,
Leave the left end be.

Only a year has passed,
Only a year and a day,
From that first and last;
Remember that May?

First glance wasn't enough,
We met and we fought.
Life had been tough,
But we learned and we taught.

From what, do you say?
Skull crashed in and blood all 'round,
Perhaps it had been that day,
When me and him had been found.

Remember it now?
Guards all around and stone jails cell,
Just take a bow --
It was from there all further fell.

And with time --after an attempt,
Mor hearins and a sale,
We could've never dreamt
The ending to the tale.

That year passed --me, myself, and I;
Anger handled and kept at bay,
Though never complete --sigh,
Without the healing that Sunday.

A change in position,
The beating had come.
All well deserve --redemption,
Congrats, my dear chum.

The attacks we endured,
The spirit and sir "Bobbie",
The man and the furred;
We healed both mind and body.
This one is quite a bit older --over a few years anyway. I figured I would upload it none-the-less. --shrug-- It was for our grade 9 poetry project, a ballad based off of the novel Spirit Bear. Make more sense now?
